sunday may 15th – arrival day / hotel check-in at sultanahmet, istanbul.

monday may 16th – istanbul / orientation/introduction to istanbul -hagia sophia museum, hippodrome, basilica cistern, arasta bazaar

tuesday may 17th – istanbul / chora church museum, aquaduct of valens, turkish & islamic art museum

wednesday may 18th – istanbul to cappadocia / airport in the am, arrive to nevsehir and drive to urgup, goreme open-air museum (cave churches), pigeon valley, uchisar castle, check into hotel-boutique.

thursday may 19th cappadocia to kayseri / drive to kayseri for day tour, visit the citadel, sahibiye medrese, haci kilic mosque and medrese, great mosque (ulu camii), doner kumbet, gupgupoglu mansion/ethnographic museum, bazaar, drive back to cappadocia

friday may 20th – cappadocia / avanos the pottery town, sarihan (recently renovated caravanserai), camel valley, pasabag, and rug school

saturday may 21st – cappadocia to konya / drive to konya, sultanhani caravanserai, alaaettin mosque, check into hotel, and visit konya’s mevlana cultural center to watch sufi ceremony

sunday may 22nd – konya / mevlana museum and mausoleum, selimiye mosque, ince minare medrese museum, karatay mondrese museum, sahip-i ata fahrettin ali kulliye and museum

monday may 23rd – konya to pamukkale / departure to lake country, esrefoglu mosque, ancient hittite site eflatunpinar, arrive at pamukkale hotel with thermal pools

tuesday may 24th – pamukkale / ancient hierapolis and its natural calcium travertines, ancient laodicea (textile center during the roman period)

wednesday may 25th – pamukkale

thursday may 26th – pamukkale to kusadasi / ancient aphrodisias, ephesus museum, and the basilica of st. john

friday may 27th – kusadasi / ancient ephesus, temple of artemis

saturday may 28th – kusadasi to bergama /morning visit to odemis town with its local market and ethnographic museum, arrive to hotel

sunday may 29th – bergama to bursa / morning visit to the acropolis of pergamon, asclepion (ancient hospital), red basilica, drive to yuntdag region and visit orselli village a member of dobag project and cooperative

monday may 30th – bursa / ulu mosque, kozahan (silk market and old caravanserai), city museum, and green mosque and green tomb

tuesday may 31st – bursa / royal ottoman tombs in muradiye, uluumay museum, hisar (old bursa and the tomb of osman gazi), drive to cumalikizik village

wednesday june 1st – bursa to istanbul / ipeker textile factory

thursday june 2nd – istanbul / topkapi palace and haren, archaeological and ceramic museums

friday june 3rd – istanbul / visit contemporary textile/fashion designer arzu kaprol and gonul paksoy, armaggon store, walking tour of istiklal street (taksim)

satuday june 4th –  istanbul / rustem pasha mosque, spice market, covered grand bazaar

sunday june 5th – istanbul / cruise up the bosphorus to sariyer, sadberk hanim museum, sakip sabanci museum

monday june 6th – istanbul / sultan ahmet mosque, suleymaniye mosque, afternoon at the turkish cultural foundation and presentations

tuesday june 7th – istanbul / marbling and calligraphy workshop

wednesday june 8th – istanbul / felting workshop, farewell dinner

thursday june 9th – departure to athens!
